GETC has recently completed the latest development for BlueCross Aged Care—the ‘Cresthaven’ development in Melbourne’s leafy inner suburb of Malvern East.

Engaging with Icon / Cockram Constructions, GETC delivered complete Joinery works for the three-story facility located on the corner of The Avenue and Waverley road.

The development houses 103 residents within warm and inviting apartment spaces adorned with high-level finishes. Common areas include a cafe, cinema, large formal dining & private dining rooms and a multipurpose studio, among the various other lounge and breakout spaces throughout the complex. The site also features a large central courtyard with landscaped gardens and relaxation spaces.

BlueCross provides residents with essential health services, in addition to several remedial services such as hairdressing in the on-site salon, physiotherapy & podiatry programs.

GETC’s involvement in the development comprised the supply and installation of the complete Joinery package, with apartments, bathroom vanities, common areas and several other various items all included in the scope.

Fully furnished with all amenities, the apartments provide generous living spaces designed for accessibility and freedom for residents. Apartments range in size from 23 to 73 square meters and include spacious robes, entertainment & storage units, a private ensuite with a built-in vanity and matching wall cladding.

Common, dining and lounge area Joinery included a range of custom-designed items ranging from banquette seating, entertainment units, nurse stations and communal vanity units.

CHT Architects specified the use of high-end finishes throughout the facility, and our design teams rose to the challenge, specially manufacturing the timber veneer finishes to suit the high expectations of this new development for the clients & residences alike.

With over 20 containers delivered within the energetic residential area surrounding the site, our regular disciplined approach to the transportation and installation phases ensured GETC was once again able to ensure seamless completion of the project, without delay and to an exceptional finished result.

Placement & installation crews operated resourcefully throughout the project timeline, meeting all construction schedules and quickly remedying the few defects arose, ensuring the Joinery package was delivered to its entirety well before handover with an outstanding result.
