We are proud to share that the Kensington Student Accommodation project has been recognised with the APSAA 2025 Sustainability Excellence Award. Designed by nettletontribe for Cedar Pacific and operated by UniLodge, this landmark development sets a new benchmark for sustainable student living in Australia.

Policy Reversal — From Caps to Growth. In a marked departure from earlier plans, the Australian government has increased the cap on international student placements from 270,000 to 295,000 for 2026—an expansion of 25,000 spots. This rise is part of a broader strategy to secure the future of Australia's international education sector, bolster its global competitiveness, and strengthen regional ties, particularly with Southeast Asia

GETC contributed to the $25.7 million redevelopment in Clayton by delivering complete joinery and commercial furniture across more than 130 rooms and vibrant communal spaces. The multi-storey development includes a reception, administration office, large common areas, communal kitchens, shared study spaces, cinema, basement carpark, laundry, bicycle store, alongside the varitey of student apartments — all crafted to enhance the student living experience with modern, functional spaces.

GETC is proud to showcase our latest completed project, The Watson by Kincrest, a boutique residential development in Melbourne's Essendon. This six-storey project features 36 generously sized apartments, setting a new standard for sophisticated living.

Developed by MONNO and designed by Rothelowman, the $125 million project blends heritage architecture with contemporary coastal living, centred around the restored 1848 St Helens mansion. With 53 residences spanning four unique buildings—The Acreage, Nautica House, The Arbory, and Park Row—Stella Maris sets a new benchmark in luxury waterfront living.

GETC is proud to have partnered with Cedar Pacific, Richard Crookes, Nettletontribe, Dowse Projects and UniLodge to bring UniLodge Kensington to life—Sydney’s newest Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) designed to enhance student living with premium comfort and functionality.

At GETC Group, sustainability is not just a priority — it is woven into the fabric of everything we do. As a leader in the building supply manufacturing industry, we recognise the profound impact our operations have on the environment, communities, and future generations. This understanding drives our unwavering commitment to being a catalyst for positive change, both locally and globally.

GETC's Tree Planting Program, in partnership with the Australian non-profit ReForest Now, plants a tree for each room completed in their projects. This initiative supports reforestation, enhances biodiversity, and promotes ecological restoration across Australia. By working with GETC, clients contribute to sustainable landscapes, as each project actively contributes to a greener future.

GETC partnered with Kane Constructions to deliver joinery for Iglu’s new $60 million, 374-bed Student Accommodation development on Russell Street, Melbourne. Our team handled the manufacture, delivery, and installation of joinery and stone packages across private rooms and communal areas. GETC helped bring a vibrant, modern design to life, tailored to the needs of diverse student residents. See our projects page for more info on this and our other our recently completed projects.
